Of course, for me, AI is the new roots of evil that we’ll never get back in the box. 🫣 Yes, it was a very weird week, especially when someone would deign to disparage 1984 which has turned into literal prophecy.

Reading Shaun's facial misrecognition story put me in mind of Terry Gillian’s Brazil, his excellent dystopian movie from 1985.
