I agree with you there. Athletics is a literal minefield when it comes to advantages, fair or otherwise, curiously boxing would be an outlier, what exactly would the actual advantage of your gender be when you can only compete with a person in your own weight category?

Also the boxing story is nuanced too - somehow gender gets those amateur boxing gloves flying - Barney Roney gives a fair overview here

Exactly. The accounts I've read say that the boxers are in fact women, but with a rare chromosomal anomaly. The anomaly confers advantage in the form of hormones and strength, but their category in sports is rightfully the women's one. So it isn't a culture war issue, despite being used as one by some people. It's hard for the boxers because they want to compete, as they have every right to. But their advantage creates questions to which I don't think there are easy answers.

Are the ‘protesters’ racist? yes, stupid? maybe but not sure if most are actually fascist though - they’re from an unhappy caste, people who have been let down down by the system and have no idea of where they are going and subsequently haven’t much to lose - so they are easy to manipulate by the likes of Tommy Robertson, Farage and Tate etc. Add to that 20 odd years of austerity and Conservative misrule fomenting a breakdown of societal cohesion thanks to the self serving political class in their Westminster bubble.

Thank you for your comment. I appreciate what you wrote. I tried to avoid using reactive or inflammatory language for this exact reason. The violence is terrible and helps nobody, while the underlying situation is complex and requires perspective.

The AI hallucinating effect is a feature, not a bug.

When they had the Google bard CBS pre recorded interview, they left in the fake books and fake authors and spoke about this "bug".... I wondered why not edit that part out or redo it?

They want to make the impression that this AI thinks for itself, when in fact it's a glorified search engine.

Definitely agree there Rob, they would so love us to believe AI actually thinks for itself.

That doesn’t mean the industry isn’t working overtime to be the first one to come up with a ‘thinking’ AI, that’s where the big big bucks await.
